Tiebacks > Contemporary Examples > Overview
These patterns are either representative of tiebacks made through the 20 th century or originals that we’ve designed. We offer quite a few examples of machine cut, two-dimensional, plate tiebacks. Ask about other “S” patterns, we’ve done quite a few to match no-longer-made patterns from the past 50 years. We also have three dimensional forged pieces that aren’t colonial. Many of our contemporary patterns are available in stainless steel. Click image for more information
We always use a 300 series stainless steel. The imported stainless hardware is typically made of the cheaper 400 series. Buster the shop cat got a new stainless steel water bowl. Within a month of being filled with tap water the entire bowl showed spots of rust – 400 series stainless. How can you tell the good stainless from the bad? Use a magnet – it won’t stick to the 300 (good) series. Which is nice, because they always have refrigerator magnets with the cookware. Borrow one to identify the durable stainless stuff and make an informed decision. |
