shutter tieback - mr streeterThis was my friend and mentor Donald Streeter’s favorite tieback pattern. I spent a day or two a week for a few years with the late Mr Streeter, swapping work for wisdom.

It was bi-centennial time and we worked together on a number of projects in and around Independence Hall – he authored Professional Smithing while I worked in his shop.

In his catalogue he identified this piece as English in origin.
