Heavy Shutter Strap Hinges > 702 Tapered, Heart & Beaned Strap Hinges

Our 702 hinge is a 701 before the bevel is applied. We hammer out the blanks by hand. The result is the same subtle arc along the hinge edge which creates a very nice profile. There is three dimensionality to the end of the hinge and the last eight or ten inches carries the forged texture imparted by the fire. Since we’re forging these pieces by hand, we can apply a heart or exaggerated lima-bean shape to the end of the hinge as an optional detail.
