Many installations don’t have sufficient wood on the casing to accept the tradition 1-1/2” width of the plate pintle.

We make this narrow variant that’s only 1” wide by 4” tall. This pintle often fits narrow casings and custom moldings without touching the millwork.

It is often used when the pintle will fasten into masonry - the two fasteners require far less drilling and installation time than four.
